Deterrence: Manage Disorderly Conduct and Threatening Behaviour TGS Code: TGS-2019503253 Course Code: SEC-ICM-1001-1.1 Course Duration: 16 Hours (2 Days) Class Timing: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (excluding lunch break) Course Overview: This WSQ-accredited course is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to manage disorderly conduct, deter threatening or abusive behaviour, and maintain a safe environment. Participants will learn to identify abnormal behaviour, de-escalate tense situations, and comply with organizational and legal protocols. This course is a key component of the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) pathway for security personnel in Singapore. Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, learners will be able to: ✔ Prepare professionally for duty in accordance with organizational standards ✔ Maintain a visible presence to deter abnormal or threatening behaviour ✔ Identify and respond to disorderly or abusive conduct ✔ Communicate effectively in tense situations and escalate when necessary ✔ Comply with legal and organizational procedures during interventions Course Outline: Module 1: Preparation for Duty - Dress according to grooming standards - Clarify daily work assignments and responsibilities - Prepare assigned area for duty Module 2: Deter Threatening Behaviour Through Visible Security Presence - Identify high-risk areas for abnormal behaviour - Maintain visible presence to deter unwanted actions - Recognise and respond to abnormal behaviour in pairs - Report intrusions and escalate emergency cases - Follow SOPs and legal guidelines in handling threatening situations Module 3: Deal With Disorderly/Threatening Behaviour - Identify signs of disorderly or threatening behaviour - Coordinate with fellow officers for immediate response - Use effective verbal communication - Seek help when situations escalate - Report incidents to appropriate authorities Assessment Details: Mode: Written and practical assessment Duration: 2 hours Conducted By: POLWEL Co-operative Society Ltd Venue: Etann Consultants Pte Ltd Results: Released immediately after assessment Certification: Participants who pass the assessment will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
