Service Description
Existing SOs will need to pass the module by 31 Dec 2025 Effective 01 Jan 2024 promoting SOs will need to pass the module before being promoted. TGS - 2023035590 Course Code: SEC -SOP-1007-1.1 Course Duration: 24hrs (3 Days), excluding lunch break. (9am - 6pm x 3 Days) Course Descripti: Upon completion of the 3 days course, learners would be able to perform guard and patrol duties to ensure premises and facilities are safe and well-guarded. To prevent any potential security risks and threats, manage access points of entry for different levels of authorized entries. The course also aims to equip security officers with essential knowledge and skills to operate basic security equipment such as access control, alarm monito Course Outline: 1: Prepare guard and patrol activities in accordance with organisational procedures. 2: Perform guard static position within the given time limit and with the materials, tools and equipment provided. 3: Demonstrate patrol duties within the given time limit and with the materials, tools and equipment provided. 4: Demonstrate handling telephone calls within the given time limit and with the materials, tools and equipment provided. 5: Conduct bag search on a person suspected of theft and write reports according to Organisational procedures. 6: Demonstrate making reports and hand over duty within the given time limit and with the materials, tools and equipment provided. 7: Operate access control equipment for the entry and exit of pedestrians and vehicles. 8: Identify the different access control points of entry based on the levels of authorised entries. 9: Demonstrate reporting procedures and location of unauthorised entries. 10: Identify the nature of unauthorised entries during the entry and exit of pedestrians and vehicles. 11: Perform basic troubleshooting on access control equipment. 12: Apply different types of access controls operations documentation. 13: Demonstrate the ability to operate alarm monitoring equipment in accordance with the roles and responsibilities. 14: Demonstrate the ability to operate CCTV monitoring equipment based on the roles and responsibilities. Assessment Details: An assessment of 2 hours will be conducted by POLWEL at Etann Consultants Pte Ltd. Results will be made known immediately after assessment. Certification Details: Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be issued for each module graded competent. SOA reflected as SEC-SOP-1007-1.1 Guard and Patrol.
