PWM Security Course: Operate Basic Security Equipment (OBSE) Course Code: SEC-TEM-2001-1.1 Course Duration: 16 Hours (2 Days) Class Timing: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (excluding lunch break) Course Overview: This WSQ-accredited course equips learners with the skills and knowledge required to operate access control, alarm monitoring, and CCTV systems. Participants will be trained to manage entry points, detect unauthorized access, handle alarm incidents, and monitor CCTV systems in accordance with organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This module is part of the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) pathway and is essential for Security Officers responsible for electronic security operations. Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, learners will be able to: ✔ Operate access control systems to manage authorized entry ✔ Troubleshoot and report equipment faults ✔ Monitor and respond to alarm incidents effectively ✔ Operate and maintain CCTV systems for surveillance purposes ✔ Complete documentation related to all equipment handled Course Outline: Module 1: Operate Access Control Equipment - Identify access points of entry based on authorization levels - Operate access control equipment according to SOPs - Report location and nature of unauthorized entries - Perform basic troubleshooting - Complete access control documentation Module 2: Operate Alarm Monitoring Equipment - Arm and disarm alarm systems - Identify types and nature of alarms - Report intrusion incidents - Respond according to SOPs - Detect and report equipment faults - Complete alarm monitoring documentation Module 3: Operate CCTV Monitoring Equipment - Operate CCTV and ensure functionality of recording devices - Identify and report key footage (subject, scene, action, time) - Detect issues like blur or no image - Complete CCTV monitoring documentation Assessment Details: Mode: Written and practical assessment Duration: 1.5 hours Conducted By: POLWEL Co-operative Society Ltd Venue: Etann Consultants Pte Ltd Results: Released immediately after assessment Certification: Participants who pass the assessment will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
