Perform Remote Surveillance Function (PRSF Course) TGS Code: TGS-2023022247 Course Code: SEC-TEM-2004-1.1 Course Duration: 16 Hours (2 Days) Class Timing: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (excluding lunch break) Course Overview: This WSQ-accredited module equips learners with the essential skills to perform remote surveillance functions effectively. Designed for security personnel, the course focuses on monitoring premises remotely, identifying suspicious behaviour, and escalating abnormal incidents in accordance with organizational and legal requirements. Note: ✔ Existing Security Officers (SOs) must complete this module by 31 December 2025. ✔ Effective 1 January 2024, SOs seeking promotion must pass this module prior to promotion. Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion, learners will be able to: ✔ Perform remote surveillance using CCTV and digital monitoring systems ✔ Identify abnormal or suspicious activities during surveillance ✔ Report and escalate incidents according to SOPs and legal protocols ✔ Record surveillance footage accurately using appropriate equipment ✔ Ensure compliance with organizational standards and privacy regulations Course Outline: - Module 1: Perform Remote Surveillance Functions - Use CCTV, computers, recorders, and monitors - Navigate surveillance software programs - Monitor premises and areas of interest - Module 2: Identify Abnormal and Suspicious Behaviour - Understand indicators of abnormal activities - Recognise suspicious patterns and conduct behavioural profiling - Module 3: Report and Escalate Abnormal Behaviour - Document surveillance findings accurately - Report suspicious activities to supervisors or enforcement agencies - Escalate situations in accordance with SOPs and legal guidelines Assessment Details: Mode: Written and practical assessment Duration: 1.5 hours Conducted By: POLWEL Co-operative Society Ltd Venue: Etann Consultants Pte Ltd Results: Released immediately after assessment Certification: Participants who pass the assessment will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
